The Gaalshim or Dispossessed, are just that. They are dispossessed wanderers of the seas of the world. They travel extensively among the various continents, trading here and there, but their primary focus is a return to their homeland, which they may never do.
The roots of their race lie in the far past, probably among the orc race. However, they have long since interbred with other races, human and elven mostly, to become a 'new' race unto themselves. They add to their limited gene pool through various means, mostly honorable now, for they are dedicated men and women-as long as they are paid.
They are pirates often, traders usually, and dedicated fully to being restored to their lands. What those lands are none remember, but it is widely believed to be the Continent of Meth'iin, the Land of the Dragon Lords. The Gaalshim were the last remnants of a once great race and hope to one day find that glory again.
