Part 2 concerns the races of the largest continent of Meth'iir. though not ALL race descriptions could be listed, here are a few of the more common, with a small outline of their particular alliances. These are not absolutes, but a run down based on the most common precepts of the race.

ELVES:

The elves of Meth'iir live from the North reaches south into the Sea of Grass, and from the Western borders of the continent to the shores of Midstaar, the Inner Sea.

All subraces of elves are included in the empire, even those that would be classified as Drow. For here there has never been a splitting of the race of elves, but each subrace has its place in which to grow. They are governed by a council of leaders from each of the subraces, and they work together to protect defend and enhance the elven Empire.

They are allied with many of the demi-races, and even with a few of the human tribes. There are exceptions, and there are skirmishes at times, but the elven race is not in declination, the empire is strong, and it is willing to defend itself at all costs.

DWARVES:

Dwarves live where dwarves will, basically, though there are several large tribes in the Ghistmondst, or Gold Mounds. They are allied with some of the other demi-races, including halflings and elves. However, several clans have also allied themselves with the human clans of the Mage Lords, and are considered outcast by their brethren.

HALFLINGS:

Most of the halflings live on the Sea of Grass, though a few colonies have been seen elsewhere. They are a tough breed of little men, and are a nomadic people. They are truly unique in this world, finding the sitting and staying in one place as a curse put on them, and will move their clan from one place to another a mile away just to keep from being immobile.

They do, however, have a centralized place where leaders are declared, but few of the other races have ever been there. It's location is widely unknown and held in high regard by the halflings. When they are too old to travel, or have been severly wounded, they will be left behind by their clan to make their way, or not, to this holy place.
